167 Soi Sukhumvit 21

I thought I’d kick this off with an old favorite, Rossano’s. Someone mentioned to me that the ownership had changed hands; as long as everyone else stays where they are it will be fine – if I find out different I’ll let you know.

Rossano’s is featured in Bangkok Burn, when Chance meets with Yakuza Steve; just after the army storming the red-shirt camp in Ratchaprasong. The layout and format has changed since that time, but one thing hasn’t changed – the food.

If you’re going at lunch-time it may be difficult to find parking at the restaurant. Just use any of the major building on Asoke or in the Soi.

Four stars: not the restaurant’s fault but the soi can get jammed up at times

  • Price

Five stars: Rossano’s is pricey, but good value for money.
