I've given up on New Year Resolution's - they never really worked for me anyway, by the end of the week in which I'd made them I'd usually be giving myself excuses as to why I could delay their implementation for another week or two.
But a life without goals is a ship without a rudder and I've got a bunch of things that need doing (fairly quickly as well); so to that end I've started setting myself, daily, weekly, and monthly challenges - with a rewards system. e.g. accomplish all challenges in a day reward yourself with three glasses of wine and if you got the monthly challenges done - a bottle of single malt (the Glenmorangie 18 year old is my favorite - smells and tastes like a field of flowers - which if you're thinking of sending me a gift would be much appreciated).
This blog post is part of the weekly challenge - get one out a week. And part of the monthly challenge is a total overhaul of the website - which due to me being focused on the day job has slipped rather badly over the years since it was set up. So I'll probably break it a few times in the next few weeks but it should be brand spanking new by the end of February 2021.
Included in my daily challenge is a word count for the books I'm working on so we should see some content this year. If you want to catch up to where I am with Bangkok Heat you can sign up for my Patreon account; otherwise wait for it to be written (I'm fully aware that I am doing a pretty good job of impersonating George R.R. Martin with respect to new releases in a series - but I am working on it; please, please don't send me messages asking when it will be done - they just stress me out and delay the whole process).
Check back regularly as I'll be updating at least once a week from here on in.
